LET'S BAKE SOME CAKES #2
Choo, choo, choo, the railroad is coming...
It's your birthday and we want to celebrate with something special.
Enjoy baking your type of "choo, choo, choo"!
250 g margarine
150 g sugar
1 packet vanilla sugar
250 g flour
2 tsp baking powder
bit of cocoa powder or Nutella (if required)
2 packets cake glaze chocolate
sweets like Smarties, jellybaby, wafer curls, sandwich cookies, etc.
Beat eggs, margarine, sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy, then stir in flour
and baking powder. Pour the mixture into a greased loaf pan filling.
Tip: You might want to divide the dough and place in the 2nd half cocoa powder
or Nutella (if required).
Bake in preheated oven at 175 °C for about 75 minutes.
Then allow to cool down.
Now cut the cold cake into 3 parts and remove the surface irregularities.
Cut out a corner for the „drivers cabin“ from the 1st part. The other two
parts are connected with wafer rolls, so that it looks like a train. Sprinkle
with the melted chocolate glaze. Now stick the sandwich cookies with
chocolate glaze as wheels on the train. Put some Smarties or jellybaby on
the wagons. Set on top a candle for the birthday child, should look like
a vent on the „drivers cabin“.
Tip: For a large train please use the double quantity. If necessary,
you can also just buy already finished baked cakes and processed further.
